Chehalis Tribe

Front/rear plates are issued to tribal members and tribal tax exempt vehicles. Personalized (vanity) plates are permitted. Plates are recognized by the state of Washington.
Colville Tribe


Front/rear white on red plates are issued by the tribe for use on vehicles of the tribal government.
Front/rear white on green plates are issued for use on vehicles of the Tribal Business Corporation.
All others use standard Washington plates.
Kalispel Tribe

Front/rear plates issued to ambulances, fire and government vehicles since 2007. Police cars use Washington Indian excempt plates.
Lummi Tribe

Plates were issued for a short period in the 1970's but have been discontinued.
Makah Indian Nation

Plates were issued for a short period in the 1970's but have been discontinued.
Muckleshoot Tribe

Front/rear exempt plates are issued by the tribe for use on vehicles of the tribal government only.
All others use standard Washington plates.
Puyallup Tribe

Front/rear exempt plates are issued by the tribe for use on vehicles of the tribal government only since 2007.

Quinault Nation


Front/rear exempt plates are issued by the tribe for use on vehicles of the tribal government only.

Spokane Tribe


Tribal license plates are available for enrolled members of the Spokane tribe who reside on the Spokane Indian reservation. Tribally owned vehicles and specific tribal member businesses located on the reervation also qualify.
