LIBYA

(A) Libya was occupied by Italy between 1911 and 1943. Distinct license plates were issued between the mid/late 1920's and 1936 (not shown) and 1937 and 1943 (plate shown here). The letter "T" stands for Tripoli.
(B) Arabic numerals on the left, Western equivalent on the right. "LT" stands for "Libya Tripoli". Later followed by a serial letter.
(C) Arabic numerals on the left, Western equivalent on the right. No serial letter.
(D) Arabic numerals on the right, Western equivalent on the left. Later issues with vehicle class.
(E) Used by some owners during the Civil War in 2011 with the 1998 series registration.
